Dew Tour and Lennie in Town :
Posted by Robert on 6.11.09 11:38pm
Dew Tour is in a few weeks and I saw Nike 6.0 advertising all over the EL trains last week, Dew Tour posters in the EL, and Dew Tour TV commercials. Hopefully this contest is as good as all the hype I'm seeing. Lennie will be in town for about a week and will most likely be spending a good 3-4 days in the city spreading pre and post Dew Tour. Should see some footage soon after.

All New Look Coming :
Posted by Robert on 4.1.09 2:53pm

After long debate AED has decided to head into an entirely new direction... Skateboarding. We will be leaving all of our BMX ties and moving into the skateboard industry in the coming months. We have had a great time in the BMX world but due to the faltering economy and lack of support needed to exist in this 'tiny' industry we decided on pursuing new business moves. Because the skateboarding market exists of a much younger demographic, selling to them will make our operations much more profitable. Lets face it, twenty somethings don't spend money like the parents of little pre-teens do. So in the coming months look for an entirely new team of 9-15 year old boarders to represent our focus. AED SB... Coming soon.

Lennie Wed Edit :
Posted by Robert on 1.26.09 1:43pm

Lennie put together some clips from over the summer. Oh shit shake that ass...

In other Lennie news he is moving out to Cali and taking a Sales position with MirraCo. Pretty tight. Congrats to him!!! I'm so jealous he is getting out of these terrible Chicago winters.

It's Winter... :

It's winter! What do you want? There ain't much news to tell in Chicago around these times. I just got an Apple TV so I can watch some of these nice HD edits on our HD tv now! That's exciting!

As far as the team goes... Everyone is still on the team as far as I know. Chris and I have been talking a bit about the direction we'd like to take this thing we call "AED". We should be moving in together next fall so things will hopefully be a bit more organized and what not. Tell me what you what! Hit me up on Facebook or MySpace! Or send an email. Peace.

Lennie Kicking Ass :
Posted by Robert on 8.21.08 10:15pm

Lennie made it out to a few Free Flow contests run by the same guys as the Dew Tour. He took first earlier this month at Flow in Ohio. He also took a third at the Autumn park in Missouri in June.

In other news some of the guys on the team are getting some flow from Alienation. Delinquent Rims and various seats are on the way! Bike checks up shortly. Check out our friends over at Alienation.

Last weekend Austin Simpson and I took a trip out to visit Austin Raetz. He has a box jump out at his house where he has been keeping low. It started raining slightly after we got there, this is all the footage I got before I had to put the camera away. We'll try and get down there again because he has some stuff I didn't get on tape for you all. Watch the video here in HD.

Austin Raetz though under the radar has been getting some hook up from MirraCo. They recently flowed him a Black Pearl frame. Here are a few shots of it.

Shirt spotting :
Posted by Robert on 6.22.08 6:03pm

I spotted an AED shirt in this video. Worn by the back-wheel-tech-master, Mark Hobbs. We met him at the 217 Winter Bike Jam last year or when ever it was. Support! Thanks Mark.

Been a long time :
Posted by Robert on 6.10.08 12:20am
Hey hey... Not much news going on right now. I am almost done with school and then let the riding begin! Jeremy over at Team Crossroads (I'm to lazy to link) will be back soon so I'm sure we'll be riding then. I got a new frame so look out! Karl our best most favorite film-o-grapher is doing a documentary on BMX for a summer class at Columbia. I might be featured along with Austin S. and possibly Logan from Chicago (he might not know it just yet). Thats it for now. Just wanted to update! Peace and good weather!

Lennie Bio Pics :

John texted me this wonderful picture of himself over the weekend preparing for some water park fun in the Dells. What a treat for all those onlookers! Happy Mother's Day Mrs. Miaczynski. You have an outstanding son!!!

I guess in other news Benny cracked his Tierra, which is being warrantied. So thanks to Fly for that.

I have another month of Spring classes then onto Summer classes but I should have a bit more free time to make some web edits and what not. Hopefully AED will have a productive summer...

We will be getting started on the Woodward web edit in the next few weeks. So look for that.

Prototypes :
Posted by Robert on 4.15.08 11:12am

Here are some raw samples of our sprocket we will be testing. We had one in each size made: 23t, 25t, 28t, and 30t. A few of the guys will be running them for a while to see how they hold up. So far the 28t has exploded but what do you expect when Austin S. puts something on his bike. The idea behind these sprockets is to have something that costs what it should cost. If we find a design we are comfortable releasing they should retail for half the price of sprockets that are out now. Half the material, half the weight, half the price. These won't be marketed as street sprockets, understand that. Mostly likely they will be marketed for trails and no peg park riders. These are made out of 1/8" - 7075 T6 aluminum. The 23t weighs: 1.27 ounces, 30t weighs: 1.80 ounces. We'll post more updates soon...
